About IAdCA
The Insurance Advertising Compliance Association (IAdCA) is a grassroots, volunteer-led organization supporting professionals navigating the complex intersection of insurance advertising, compliance, legal, and marketing.
Who We Are
IAdCA brings together professionals from across insurance and financial services to share best practices, learn from peers, and navigate evolving advertising regulations.
Our community is built on practical, real-world problem solving — shaped by the teams doing this work every day.
Our History
IAdCA began as a practitioner-led effort to create a dedicated space for insurance advertising compliance education and collaboration.
It started with seminars
Tom Stallings and C. J. Rathbun of Professional Market Practices (PMP) introduced many advertising compliance, legal and marketing professionals to a structured format for learning and sharing. Attendees kept asking where they could learn more.
A founding meeting
On August 29, 2001, a group of insurance advertising creative, legal, and compliance professionals met in Kansas City, MO to discuss common concerns and evaluate establishing an organization focused on insurance advertising issues.
Shared challenges, shared purpose
Attendees from 10 insurance companies (life, annuities, group accident & health, retirement plans, long-term care, Medicare supplement, and more) reviewed shared challenges including advertising issues, branding, market conduct exams, broker/dealer material, and state, NASD & SEC regulations.
Our Mission & Vision
Practical education and collaboration for professionals working at the intersection of insurance advertising, compliance, legal, and marketing.
Provide practical education and foster collaboration among insurance advertising, compliance, legal, and marketing professionals.
