The Senior Compliance Associate is responsible for various product and regulatory compliance functions related to our long-term care insurance products. Responsible for reviewing advertising materials with Marketing resources in advance of filing for both hybrid and stand-alone long-term care insurance products. This role includes responsibility for drafting, revising and filing the materials with applicable jurisdictions in order to secure approval by state regulators. Provides guidance and serves as a technical resource on advertising requirements for both hybrid and stand-alone long-term care insurance products. Collaborates with internal resources to resolve insurance department objections and ensure that materials are compliant with state requirements, and recommends changes or improvements, if needed. Develops good relationships with state insurance department personnel to ensure prompt and courteous services as company filings are reviewed. This position will also be responsible for tracking/communicating regulatory changes, and researching and interpreting applicable laws and regulations related to advertising materials. 

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for advertising compliance related to filing and approval of marketing materials for the hybridand stand-alone long-term care insurance products. This includes any new product marketing materialsand subsequent changes to existing materials, due to changes in marketing strategies or statelaws/regulations. 

Collaborates with stakeholders to provide responses on objections and guidance on state requirements. 

Manages implementation of regulatory mandates related to hybrid and stand-alone long-term careinsurance products.

Performs regulatory research, participates in industry meetings, monitors new and amended regulationsand evaluates potential impact of proposed legislation to hybrid and stand-alone long-term care insuranceproducts. 

Coordinate state requirements and assists with other compliance matters related to both product lines asneeded. 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree

5+ years’ related experience

Excellent research and project management skills

Knowledge of hybrid and stand-alone long-term care products and business

SERFF experience required

Extensive knowledge of insurance filing practices

Strong analytic skills with ability to effectively identify potential compliance issues

Ability to ensure filings meet state requirements and recommend changes/improvements

Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
